Is AI a Money Trap for Your SME?

Why I Am Going to TEDAI Vienna: Connecting Global AI with SME Growth in Mallorca

In the coming weeks, I am going to fly from Mallorca to the Hofburg Imperial Palace to attend TEDAI Vienna.

You might ask: Why does an AI consultant who works with SMEs here in the Balearic Islands need to go to Vienna to talk about technology?

The reason is simple. After more than 30 years building solutions and driving digital transformation, I see a very real problem.

The world of AI is split in two:

  1. On one side, you have the groundbreaking innovation discussed on major global stages (like TEDAI).
  2. On the other, you have your office. Where the question isn’t about the latest large language model, but: “How on earth do we do more with less without ruining ourselves?”

My objective in Vienna will be precisely to close that distance.

The SME director hears the AI boom and feels uncertainty. You worry about very concrete things:

  • “How much will it cost me to put AI into my sales process?”
  • “How do I know if this will still be working six months from now?”
  • “Will my team see it as a threat or a help?”

These doubts are legitimate and are not solved with abstract talks.

My trip will be with a dual, highly focused mission:

  1. To bring back actionable knowledge: Not the theory, but the how-to framework. I want to secure simple frameworks to help SMEs move from paralysis to an AI plan that generates tangible ROI. I will bring back the keys to talking about profit in your bottom line.
  2. On the other hand, as a Licensee of TEDxPortoPí, I am always seeking those ideas that inspire action. Connecting with global thought leaders at the event will allow me to enrich the network and vision of the community we drive from here.

The key for your business: the world’s most advanced AI will only be valuable if we can land it into the reality of your budget and the operations of your team.

My job as a consultant is to make that translation. It is to convert the vision that will be shared in Vienna into the Strategic Roadmap that you need in your company. It is about moving from initial confusion to AI clarity, with a predictable cost.

So, the next time you hear a futuristic headline about AI, don’t ask yourself: ‘When will that arrive at my business?’

Ask yourself: ‘How can I, with the experience of this AI consultant, apply what already works today?’
